The Conservatory
The Conservatory Program provides superior dance training and performance opportunity for the dedicated dancer. This is a clearly laid out program to develop young artists in a professional caliber experience. This is a 10-month program and an audition is required before enrolling.
Preliminary
The preliminary level is the foundation of our conservatory program. Dancers are introduced to our curriculum, technical standards and have opportunities to perform in multiple events at CDT. Preliminary students are generally 7-9 years old. Preliminary dancers usually have classes one day a week for 2 hours of required instruction. This is an invitation, or audition only program. Preliminary dancers are typically 7-9 years old with some previous dance experience. These dancers attend class once a week, for two hours a week. These students will participate in the annual June recital, and may audition to be a part of other performances as well. fghf

Level 1
Level 1 dancers are ready to progress in our program in technique and additional dance styles. Opportunities to take multiple optional styles are available with performance opportunities as well. Level 1 dancers meet twice a week for 2.5 hours of required instruction. Level 1 students are generally 8-10 years old. This is an invitation, or audition only program.

Level 2
Level 2 dancers are proficient in the basics of technique and are ready for more challenging training. Level 2 dancers are required to take one optional style to enhance well rounded dance education. Dancers meet 2-3 days a week and dance 4.5 hours a week of required instruction. Level 2 dancers are generally 9-11 years old. This is an invitation, or audition only program.

Level 3
Level 3 dancers are progressing in style, technique and ability to maintain corrections in class. The conservatory introduces pre pointe training in a 30 minute designated class for our level 3 dancers. Performance opportunities and a required optional class create many chances to expand dance knowledge and experience. Level 3 dancers meet 2-3 days a week and have 6 hours of required instruction. Level 3 dancers are generally 10-12 years old. This is an invitation, or audition only program.

Level 4
Level 4 dancers are strong in multiple styles, performance and attendance. This level dives into rigorous training. These students meet 3-4 days a week, usually participate in performing programs provided by CDT and are dedicated students. Level 4 attends classes for 8 hours of required instruction a week with more optional classes available. Level 4 dancers are generally 11-13 years old. This is an invitation, or audition only program.

Level 5
Level 5 dancers are advanced dancers in multiple styles, perform in CDT performance opportunities and excel in attendance and work ethic. These dancers meet 4-5 times a week and dance for 10 hours of required instruction with multiple optional classes available. Dancers in level 5 are generally 12-15 years old. This is an invitation, or audition only program.

Level 6
Level 6 dancers are CDT's advanced level focusing on technical proficiency and performance opportunities. Our level 6 dancers are required to take part in either our ballet productions or the Thrive competition team. This level also offers the opportunity to perform in local workshops, showcases and guest performances. Our level 6 dancers are required to attend 11 hours of instruction with optional classes, across 4-5 days a week. Level 6 dancers are generally 14-19 years of age. This is an invitation, or audition only program.
