A new take on the summer intensive, Intent Summer Dance Intensive is created with the focus and purpose of youth training in mind. Classes, schedules, seminars, choreography and a theater show bring this one of a kind experience to the Pacific Northwest. First class staff, talented Instructors guide the students through three weeks of training with the intent to further their knowledge, love and understanding of what it takes to be a dancer in the changing world. Social Media guidance, video editing, music editing, portfolio training all included with INTENT Intensive. Styles included in the curriculum, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Choreography, Improvisation, Pilates, Modern, Hip Hop, Flamenco, Tap and much more!
INTENT Summer Dance Intensive

Intent Summer Dance Intensive will hold auditions during the first day for your technique placement and to be cast in one of four pieces that will be produced and performed at a local theater by our talented instructors. Dancers will receive in-studio education as well as in-theater education, preparing them for a bright future as a working artist plus a one-of-a-kind experience.​

Ages: Ages 9+
​Intent Summer Intensive is open to all Intermediate and advanced dancers ages 9+ regardless of place of instruction. CDT dancers do not need to audition. Non-CDT dancers ages 9-10 years old do not need to audition, non-CDT dancers 11+ please email info@childrensdancetheater.com to request an audition class during our Saturday ballet classes. There will be a small audition fee of $25. Once you have auditioned, you will be notified via email soon.​​​​​​
Dress Code: Female: Dance attire only, for ballet technique class a leotard and tights are mandatory with a bun, any color leo. Correct shoes for the style, ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, socks, sneakers, heels all could be used during the intensive. For all other styles athletic dance attire, no jeans, or street wear. Hair must be tied up and away from face, no dangling jewelry, hats or anything that could potentially hurt another student. Male/gender neutral: Dance attire, form fitting athletic clothing, no jeans or streetwear. No hats or anything that could fly off and hurt another dancer. Correct shoes for the style, ballet, jazz, lyrical, socks, tap, sneakers, heels all could be used during the intensive.

Join our Junior Intensive specifically designed for the budding dancer. Located in our new facility in downtown Auburn these young dancers will receive high quality training from local Instructors. Ballet Intensive
Dates: August 4th-7th Time: 4:30-8:30PM

CDT's ballet intensive is a favorite of every dancer for summer instruction. Our knowledgable and talented instructors bring fresh and engaging ideas and inspiration for our ballet students. This intensive is scheduled in the evenings and is a great way to get ready for those Nutcracker Auditions. Tuition: $400 total for the week. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance of $300 will be due 7 days before the first day of the intensive.
